Stayed Offline

I stayed unplugged during our trip to Rathdrum, Idaho (origininally the county seat of Kootenai County). Rathdrum is just 10 miles NW of CDA, Idaho. One of the businesses has a Bigfoot statue which looks much like my imaginings. Idaho has the 4th most (percapita) Bigfoot sightings in the US. And tops the nation in UFO sightings percapita.

My fiance Kevin and I dined at O'Malley's. I had my first taste of a monte christo (battered sandwich) and battered avacado slices. It was delicious! Kevin has a lifetime membership to Bi-Mart also in Rathdrum so we stopped by; I tried a pb Mountain bar and I never thought Id say this, but it's better than Reese's pb cups.

It's funny how little things can mess with our concept of what's real or exactly what are the powers/forces outside of what's known to us. For example the other day I must not have shut the front door all the way. I say this because the dog started barking and the wind blew it open, causing my heart to play knock and rattle with my ribs as I awaited who knows what? Just what did I expect to be on the other side of the door? I only know I sighed in relief, all being right with the world in my neck of the woods.
